Beauty Brands Support Breast Cancer Awareness
Beauty Brands Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness in The Philippines
Every October, people around the world come together to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Apart from showing your support through spreading information, donating to foundations dedicated to breast cancer research, knowledge, and awareness (such as ICanServe Foundation and the Kasuso Foundation), there’s something else you can do. One of the fun and meaningful ways to support breast cancer awareness is by buying specially made Pink-themed beauty products! Not only will you look amazing, but a portion of the proceeds from the sales are used to fund breast cancer research, treatments, and awareness!
We’re starting off the list with a homegrown brand that’s going PINK just for October. Local beauty brand Likha Cosmetics is a proud supporter of those bravely battling breast cancer. For every purchase of a velvet matte lipstick, they will be donating 30% of your payment to ICanServe - a non-profit organization that provides hope and help to women with breast cancer.
You can support other local Filipina entrepreneurs as they campaign for breast cancer awareness by checking out ICanServe’s Instagram account (@icanserve) and browsing through their different brand partners.
Avon has been on the forefront of the fight against breast cancer for more than 25 years! This year is no different. As of writing, Avon PH has not announced a special breast cancer-themed product yet but as a company, their advocacy has always been to battle breast cancer, which is why they continuously fund breast cancer research through their sales. So, no matter the product you buy, it’s sure to help out!
“Avon’s commitment to the fight against breast cancer is part of our company’s DNA. Over the years, Avon’s breast cancer fundraising programs have mobilized people around the country to get involved and make the biggest impact possible toward the breast cancer cause,” said Scott White, Chief Executive Officer of New Avon LLC.
