Honoring Mothers on the Frontline

In a time when the world is in the throes of uncertainty and fear, it’s no surprise that among the people standing directly in the path of COVID-19 to keep us safe, to care for the sick, and to provide for our daily necessities are mothers. Indeed, they are naturally self-sacrificing. They put the needs of others before their own without hesitation, despite the gravity of the situation. In our current environment, they are nothing short of heroic. They are our Sheroes on the frontline.

This month of May, InLife Sheroes pays tribute to the extraordinary mothers who are needed beyond their own families. They are inspirational any day of the year, more so now as we are confronted with a rapidly evolving new normal that requires them to sacrifice their own safety and lose out on precious time with loved ones.

Every Sunday of the month, beginning Mother’s Day, we will be featuring a group of women who have individually stepped up to the plate to provide essential support to the community. From medical professionals to entrepreneurs to teachers to custodians, we highlight the great work they’re doing to make our lives better and safer.

Celebrating Mother’s Day this year is going to be unlike any other. With family traditions drastically affected by COVID-19 restrictions, we must learn to be creative to still make this day extra special for the women who do it all. Although we are required to keep our distance, that doesn’t mean we can’t show our appreciation.

Join us as we honor the holiday throughout May by celebrating the amazing women it champions.
